Lightning Vaults

The sky wrote us poem.

I see a Babylonian sky. I see myself having a hard time imagining the architecture. It's simply thoughts of a place where I cannot relate. I see worship over Gilgamesh’s epic. All the beings are huffing a lost sea, swaying back and forth in hopes to get everywhere but always somewhere else.

Losing sight as curtains fold into the abyss. I see icebergs painting people. A location more esoteric than Atlantis. Like an albatross around my neck, it will always be with me. I spy an op, an experiment done unto the public. Rolling onto the land, consuming the cities.

I see the sun, the light. Oneness piercing my pupils. All of the rays have unified. A sword, its blight. Cutting through the guts of this reality. The truth of sight might sense a tremendous round of applause for everyone who has been suffering.

Far below the sunny day, layers of other skies pile up. There’s my transparent evergreen lightning bolt from childhood’s vault. Time to let it be free to speak in front of a deep purple sky. Lay it beside the sword of the sun. They mirror each other inside this little pit of great darkness. I see my eyes in yours, and no longer will I feel the urge to eat the clouds away. I am not afraid of sunshine anymore.
