Truth Machine

Running after the present due to past decisions.

You can be in love with experiences. Perhaps that’s why it’s unwise to lust over excitement. Chasing after a potential moment, or universe, is the genesis of addiction. The strange thing is…we are covered in experiences. We frequent other universes, and don’t even need to dream to get there! We traverse dimensions through truth and lies. We just have to think, or unthink, to be delivered elsewhence!

It seems easier to believe in this ability by assuming it only exists externally. Science Fiction writers always come up with a machine that transports us. A tool, a different vessel than you. Anywhere but within, though the mind itself is the original deus ex machina. Maybe that kind of perception keeps us on the wrong timeline. As silly as it may sound, being grateful for water quenching my thirst has sent me to sublime locations. Consistent appreciation makes gratitude an infinite timeline.

It seems appealing to keep chasing bigger and better than grander experiences. Go really far away and do all of the drugs to transcend the meaning of life. It’s not something to be done forever as it creates a high tolerance to belief. It makes the truth difficult to decipher, and fade into irrelevancy. Lying to the self quickly lacks luster, so people trick others into buying their thrill. Addiction mutates, feeding on the decadence of others’ disappointment. It becomes a coping mechanism for grappling with the incomprehensibility of reality.

It’s best to explore all time and space through the truth. Anything that you could do in another dimension, you can do in your head. It’s everyday stuff, really! You don't even have to drink or sleep to be like a mythical machine. You just have to think it. Oh, look, I'm imagining 365 million different planets right now. I can see billions of outcomes and bite into it like a slice of cake. I'm not even doing any work. It's already there! Try it yourself, and tell us how it tastes.
